WHO ARE EUROMA MEMBERS?
Members with a shared interest in OM.
EurOMA membership is drawn from people interested in the development of knowledge, teaching and application of operations management.
Academic members include teachers, researchers and students in colleges, universities and other higher education institutions. These members represent a wide range of departments and faculties, and include academics from other disciplines who nonetheless have a strong interest in the field.
Business members are drawn from managers and engineers interested in new OM developments, the application of new ideas, and who seek interaction with both academics and others from industry.
Membership is not restricted to Europe; it is open to members from other regions who benefit from involvement in the network, the publications and information offered, as well as participation in many EurOMA events.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
What members get.
EurOMA members have the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the following activities.
Networking
First and foremost, the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) is a network. The values that drive the Association and the activities organised all contribute towards EurOMA being an organisation that brings together people, knowledge and practice from Europe and around the world. The EurOMA network extends to social networks through our social media channels.
International annual conferences
EurOMA organises an annual conference, recognised for its international participation and contribution to OM knowledge and practice. Each conference focuses on a theme of major importance in the OM field, with keynote speeches from leading scientists and industrial leaders, and special sessions in relevant open research fields. EurOMA members benefit from a reduced conference registration fee.
Workshops and young scholar career development
Throughout the year, several workshops are held on topics of interest to EurOMA members, with emphasis on research, application, teaching and writing. EurOMA takes particular care in developing the careers of young scholars in the OM field. Each year a Doctoral, a Young Scholar and a Publishing workshop are organised to help young scholars build their knowledge and academic skills.
Newsletter
EurOMA circulates a newsletter to its members containing news on a wide range of areas of interest, and provides a forum to express views and communicate with other members and colleagues in the field of OM. Contributions are welcome.
Journal: IJOPM
The official journal of EurOMA is the International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM), published by Emerald, one of the world’s leading academic publishers. IJOPM provides a route for EurOMA members to submit their papers for publication in a high-quality and internationally-recognised journal.
